Kohlert, #917

Restored by Dorian Antipa, this is like a brand new instrument, but with history.

A "light Heckel sound" for a fraction the cost, don't let the Kohlert stamp fool you. This instrument has an incredible ringing tone and impressive vibration under the fingers. It is now fully modernized with the following additions: tone hole liners, high D, high Eb (E/F# trill), and high E. The striping is original which was preserved but it has been restained and finished with a nitrocellulose lacquer polished to a mirror finish and the keys have all been stripped and double silver plated for durability. Comes with a Fox CVX #1 bocal that matches the bassoon exceptionally well, plus a balance hanger and a new seat strap and swab. The case is an older wooden case--I may have alternatives so just ask if interested. This instrument comes with a 1 year tune-up: all you have to do is get it to the shop and it will be cleaned, adjusted, and returned at no additional cost (damage repair or additional modifications not included).
